Dorchester Tennis & Squash Club, or DTSC, is a sociable spot in Dorchester, UK. Established in 1949, the club is driven by its members and open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you're after competitive play or just want to improve your game, DTSC is where you should be.
The club has three all-weather floodlit Advantage Clay tennis courts and three squash courts, including one with a glass back. The racketball community at DTSC is also thriving. Overlooking these courts is a clubhouse with a bar, changing rooms, and showers, offering a comfortable social hub.
Members can book courts online, accessible around the clock except during club times. DTSC hosts regular social events throughout the year, promoting a strong community vibe. New members get a "fob" for access to the club, courts, and booking system.
DTSC offers coaching programmes for tennis players of all ages and abilities. Alongside club sessions and informal play, there are tournaments and internal leagues held year-round. The coaching also extends to local schools, supporting an outreach initiative.
The club competes actively in the Dorset League and Yeovil & District League, with seven junior teams and fourteen adult teams. For squash and racketball, there are internal leagues and knockout tournaments. DTSC fields four men's squash teams and three racketball teams in Dorset County Leagues.
Recently, table tennis has been added, and members are encouraged to give it a go 🎾🏓.
New members are always welcome at DTSC. For details on membership, court bookings, or any other queries, contact the Club Administrator at 01305 268103 or email admin@dtsc.org.uk. Staff are available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 11 am.
DTSC takes pride in its active members who regularly participate in events and tournaments. You can find all member highlights in the gallery on the club's website. Despite COVID-19 challenges, DTSC continues to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
