Donna's yoga practise and teaching are firmly grounded in the idea that we are more than just “shapes. ” She believes there is a way of moving without force and a way of connecting to our body's innate intelligence through movement. She recognises that each individual is unique with their own capabilities, and through the practise of yoga, everyone can nurture their health regardless of age or experience.

Donna's teaching is greatly influenced by Vanda Scaravelli and her students Diane Long and Sophy Hoare. After encountering Diane and Sophy in 2003, Donna's perspective on yoga shifted, and she began to explore a new way of moving that harnesses strength from within. She learned that movement originates from the spine and connects back to the spine, leading to a less fragmented body. Donna continues to receive one-on-one sessions with Sophy and regular teachings from Diane, further enhancing her understanding and practise.

In addition to her expertise in yoga, Donna has been practising mindfulness meditation since 2013. She is a level 2 teacher with the Clear Mind Institute and is qualified to teach the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme. Donna has also obtained qualifications from MindfulnessUK (level 4) to teach mindfulness and compassion. The integration of mindfulness practises into her yoga teaching has allowed for new dimensions to unfold, creating a holistic approach to overall well-being.

Donna completed her yoga teacher training through the British Wheel of Yoga in 2006, demonstrating her commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
