Dolmen Athletic Club

We are a recreational running club based in Carlow, located on the grounds of Carlow Rugby Club in the picturesque Oak Park area of Carlow Town. Our club, Dolmen Athletic Club, caters to runners of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced endurance athletes. Our friendly coaches and supportive members understand that everyone has to start their running journey somewhere, and we are here to help you every step of the way.

Dolmen Athletic Club offers group training sessions three days a week, covering a range of abilities from walking to advanced running. Our interval sessions on Thursdays focus on various interval training techniques, including short and long intervals, to improve speed and endurance. We welcome new members of all levels to join us and experience the camaraderie and motivation of our club.

As an affiliated club of Athletics Ireland, Dolmen Athletic Club participates in various events throughout the year, both locally and nationally. Our members have taken part in races such as the Waterford Viking, Searlait Tywang Castlecomer, Limerick Marathon, Fighting Cocks 5k/10k, and many more. We celebrate the achievements of our members and support each other in reaching our running goals.
