Dolloway Dancers is a well-established dance school in Hereford, with a history of 30 years. Founder and owner Cindy Dolloway (Watts) has dedicated her life to the art of dance. Cindy's personal journey with dance began at the age of 5, where she found solace and confidence in dancing, especially since she struggled with sports and faced bullying at school. Recognising the positive impact dance had on her mental and physical health, Cindy decided to become a dance teacher at the age of 23.
With a background in freestyle, Latin, and ballroom dance, Cindy is capable of teaching various dance styles. She believes in creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment for students of all ages, promoting a no-pressure approach to learning. At Dolloway Dancers, students come together to learn and dance different styles such as disco, pop, ballroom, Latin, contemporary, and dances from shows, musicals, and films. The school loves to keep things dynamic by incorporating props like ribbons, Pom poms, hats, canes, and maracas, making the experience sensory and fun.
Dolloway Dancers offers classes for all ages, from 4-year-olds to adults. Additionally, the school provides lessons for children and adults with learning disabilities at various locations. They also collaborate with schools, teaching dance as part of the physical education curriculum and hosting workshops for special occasions like Christmas or Diwali. Moreover, Dolloway Dancers offers their services for weddings, hen nights, birthdays, and other events, providing a wide range of dance styles such as line dance, disco, Charleston, Latin, and more.
At Dolloway Dancers, there are no expensive termly fees to worry about. Instead, they charge monthly, offering the flexibility to renew each month. Parents are allowed to stay during classes and watch their children through a glass screen if desired. The school understands that some children may feel unsettled, and the staff is always available to assist and ensure a comfortable experience for both the student and their parents.
The dedicated staff at Dolloway Dancers consists of DBS checked, first aid trained, and qualified individuals. In addition to Cindy as the owner, the team includes Michelle Bunce as a teacher, Deborah Brewer as the Head of Health and Safety, Aimee Bunce as a trainee and long-term pupil, and Jessica Moore as an integral part of Dolloway Dancers.
