Welcome to Elizabeth Gibbs Dance, a friendly, and professional dance school located in Hereford and Worcester in the beautiful West Midlands of England. At Elizabeth Gibbs Dance, our mission is to inspire and encourage our students to become the best dancers they can be. We understand that every child learns at a different pace and responds to different teaching styles, which is why we aim to motivate each student to develop a deep passion and confidence in their dance abilities.
We offer a wide range of dance classes specialising in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, musical theatre, street, lyrical, and acro. Whether your child is a beginner or has previous dance experience, our classes cater to all skill levels and ages. Our dedicated team of instructors are experienced and knowledgeable, ensuring that each student receives personalised attention and guidance.
Leading our dance school is Elizabeth Gibbs, a highly trained dancer herself. Elizabeth trained at Elmhurst and The Upper Royal Ballet School in London before performing as a classical dancer in Switzerland with the Lucerne Ballet Company for over five years. With her extensive performance background and 17 years of teaching experience in private tuition, Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as the Principal of Elizabeth Gibbs Dance.
Aside from teaching at Elizabeth Gibbs Dance, Elizabeth is also the Principal of London Studio Centre's Associate Programme and Junior School for the West Midlands area. She is a qualified examiner for the scholar programmes run by BBO Dance and regularly teaches CPD workshops for BBO Dance students and teachers. Elizabeth is committed to enhancing her teaching skills and has recently gained certification in Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT), which she incorporates into her ballet classes to aid in the development of her students.
Assisting Elizabeth in teaching is Alex, a passionate dancer and experienced dance captain. Alex started her dance journey in her hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland and went on to train at Morea Performing Arts. With a wide range of training in various styles and a strong foundation in singing and acting, Alex brings a dynamic and versatile approach to her teaching. She is also studying for her ISTD teaching qualifications and has a passion for choreography.
At Elizabeth Gibbs Dance, we provide a nurturing and supportive environment for students to explore their love for dance and grow as individuals. We believe in fostering a sense of community and teamwork, encouraging our students to support and inspire one another. Whether your child dreams of becoming a professional dancer or simply wants to enjoy the benefits of dance, we are here to guide and inspire them on their journey.
