Docklands Chess Club in London invites all chess enthusiasts to experience a challenging and enjoyable environment. Run by dedicated organiser Jacques Tivillier, the club caters to all levels, from seasoned experts to beginners.

Join the upcoming FIDE-rated tournament on Saturday, 27th January in Poplar. This event marks the club’s 14th year in Poplar and will feature 6 rounds, each lasting 60 minutes, starting at 10:30am. There will be a 30-minute lunch break after Round 3 finishes at 2pm. The rate of play will be 25 minutes plus a 5-second increment from move 1 in each round, with prizes distributed by 6:20pm.
Compete in either the Minor band (below 1650 ECF) or the Major band (below 2000 FIDE). The entry fee is £32, with a £4 discount for juniors under 18 and seniors over 60. Note that no late entries will be accepted on the day. Included are unlimited tea and coffee from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, and a sandwich-style lunch before 2:30pm.
