And contribute to a community of passionate dancers at Dance4Water Glasgow. We believe in the power of dance to bring people together and make a positive impact on the world. By joining our classes, you not only learn new dance styles but also contribute to providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education to some of the world's poorest communities.
At Dance4Water Glasgow, we offer a wide range of dance classes including Cuban salsa, LA salsa, NY salsa, bachata, kizomba, and hip hop. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, there's a class for everyone. Cuban salsa is a fun and sociable partner dance that can be danced in couples or in a large circle called 'rueda de casino'. Bachata, originating from the Dominican Republic, is a partner dance known for its intricate footwork and smooth turns.
NY salsa is a smooth crossbody style that pre-dates the flashy LA salsa, while LA salsa is a fast-paced and flashy couple's dance with lots of spinning and cool tricks. Kizomba, a sensual couple's dance from Angola, combines traditional and modern moves in our 'Fusion Kizomba' style.
What sets Dance4Water Glasgow apart is our inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. There is no dress code, allowing you to come as you are and focus on enjoying the dance. Our prices are competitive, ensuring that dance classes are accessible to all. We prioritise creating a sense of family within our community, and you'll feel like part of a big and wonderful family when you join us.
We organise our classes in a way that enables a constant rotation of partners, so everyone feels included and no one is excluded. However, you're welcome to bring along a friend, family member, or even a total stranger!
We offer various pricing options to accommodate different needs. If you want to try out our vibrant atmosphere, you can pay a one-time entry fee. We also have a Green Pass which allows you to enjoy 10 classes of your choice, and a Red Pass that offers unlimited classes for a whole month. Additionally, we have a special price for our Monday NY Salsa beginner block, called The Big Apple.
All payments are made at the entrance to each class. If you're interested in volunteering and earning free classes, feel free to ask a teacher or cashier from the class.
