CYoga, a London-based yoga studio, offers a variety of classes, workshops, and yoga holidays. It’s led by Catie, a yoga instructor with a deep passion for the practise.
Catie's journey with yoga began in her childhood and evolved into a lifelong pursuit. Her teaching philosophy is that yoga practises us, rather than the other way around. Since 2008, after leaving her career as a hedge fund lawyer, she has been sharing her expertise in yoga, handstands, pranayama, mobility, and meditation. Her prior professional experience has given her strong communication skills and fine attention to detail, which she brings into her teaching.
At CYoga, making yoga accessible is a key priority for Catie. To that end, she has offered free classes at St Stephens Church on Kings Road for more than five years and has also volunteered as a yoga teacher for Crisis during two Christmases. She believes yoga is more than a physical practise—it's about living and interacting with others.
CYoga also hosts yoga retreats and intensives in destinations like Turkey and Bali. These retreats offer participants a chance to dive deeper into their practise. In 2023, retreats are scheduled for Bali in March and Turkey in June. Catie’s approach encourages exploring what seems impossible and discovering new possibilities.
Catie’s teaching is dynamic and customised to individual needs. She continually enhances her skills through self-study and draws inspiration from diverse disciplines, including Iyengar yoga, anatomy, hand balancing, contortion, and even activities like singing and surfing.
CYoga is a lively and inclusive community in London. Whether you're new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, you're welcome to join and experience the transformative power of yoga with Catie.
