CubCare Welwyn, Knebworth, Potters Bar and Wheathampstead Yoga Club is excited to announce a fantastic upcoming event: the CubCare Babywearing Dance class! This fun and sociable class is designed for parents and caregivers to enjoy a babywearing dance experience with their little ones from as young as 8 weeks old.
One of the great things about this class is that it is suitable for all abilities, so whether you're an experienced dancer or have two left feet, you're welcome to join in the fun. The class is choreographed by a skilled and qualified instructor who specialises in pre and postnatal fitness, so you know you're in good hands.
During the class, parents have the option to carry their babies in a sling or carrier, allowing for easy movement and a great bonding experience. Dancing with your baby has been shown to have multiple benefits, including calming them and releasing those feel-good chemicals in your own body. It's a win-win for both parent and baby!
If you're new to babywearing, don't worry. The instructors at CubCare Welwyn, Knebworth, Potters Bar and Wheathampstead Yoga Club are all trained babywearing consultants and/or peer support trained. They will ensure that you and your baby are safely and comfortably fitted into a carrier. In fact, carriers are available to loan for the duration of the class at no extra charge, so you don't need to worry about bringing your own.
The sessions run on a weekly basis, and you have the option to save some money by block booking. Each class is 1 hour long, with a bit of time at the beginning for carrier checks, feeding, or changing baby. Since space is limited, we highly recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
If you don't have your own carrier, don't let that stop you from joining the class. Carriers can be loaned to you for free, and our instructors will provide the necessary fitting support. Rest assured, all carriers are thoroughly washed and/or sanitised after each use to maintain cleanliness and safety.
We're delighted to welcome babies from 8 weeks old (corrected, if premature) following postnatal check-ups. Please note that babies must also be over 7lb/3.1 kg in weight to join. And for those who have undergone a C-Section, we recommend waiting until 12 weeks to join, although if you're feeling well and active before that time, you can book with notification. We want all participants to feel comfortable and at ease during the class.
