Croydon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a welcoming and inclusive martial arts school located in the heart of Croydon. The school provides a safe and ego-free environment where individuals of all skill levels can learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for self-defence, competition, or simply to improve their fitness.
BJJ is a modern martial art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting techniques. It teaches its practitioners how to use leverage and proper technique to defend themselves against larger and stronger opponents. This makes it an ideal martial art for individuals who may be smaller or weaker in physical stature.
At Croydon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the instructors prioritise the individual needs of each student. They aim to build self-confidence and respect within their students, while also providing a fun and engaging learning experience. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced martial artist, the classes offered at Croydon BJJ are designed to meet your specific goals and abilities.
Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 19:00-20:45 at the Croydon Martial Arts Academy. Unfortunately, the Monday class formerly taught by James has been discontinued due to unforeseen circumstances.

Croydon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu also offers regular blog updates on their website, keeping students and interested individuals informed about events, gradings, and seminars. The school encourages its students to train diligently and regularly, offering opportunities for progress through gradings and even meals to celebrate achievements.
