Crewkerne Pegasus Karate Club, established in the early 1980s under the Phoenix Karate Organisation, is a cornerstone of martial arts in Crewkerne, UK. Specialising in Wado-Ryu Karate, the club, led by Sensei Steve Hooper and his team, brings together over 150 years of combined experience to provide quality training for all levels.
The club's mission is clear: promote high standards of Wado-Ryu Karate to students of all ages and abilities. Training sessions are held twice a week. On Tuesdays, classes run from 5 pm to 6 pm for all ages and from 6 pm to 7 pm for advanced students. On Thursdays, sessions are from 6 pm to 7 pm and open to all. This schedule offers flexibility, making it easy for students to find a time that fits their routine.
The instructors, including Sensei Sarah McDermott, Sensei Bob Gould, and Sensei Darren Allen, bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching. Under Sensei Steve Hooper's 6th Dan black belt leadership, students are assured top-notch guidance and instruction.
Crewkerne Pegasus Karate Club also hosts various events and training sessions throughout the year, featuring elite martial artists like Hanshi Gary Swift and Sensei Barry Tatlow. These events provide students with additional opportunities to learn and grow.
