Craig Ewers Academy, situated in Newport, is a leading martial arts club that specialises in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, MMA, and freestyle wrestling. Established in 2012, the academy is home to a team of experienced and accomplished coaches, led by the renowned black belt Craig Ewers.

Head coach Craig Ewers is a highly respected figure in the martial arts community. With over 30 years of experience in judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he holds a 5th dan black belt in Judo and a 1st degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As a former member of the Welsh national judo team, Craig has earned numerous medals at international competitions. From 2009 to 2015, he served as the head coach of the Welsh national judo team.
Craig is also an active Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, securing recent victories at Polaris Pro and earning medals at NAGA Championships. Currently, he coaches UFC athlete and former Cage Warriors double champion Mason Jones (10-1-1).
In addition to Craig Ewers, the coaching team includes assistant coach Josh 'Hollywood' Hudson. Josh has an impressive background in martial arts, with a black belt in Judo and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As an amateur MMA fighter, Josh holds a record of 9-4 and achieved the Bronze Medal at the IMMAF European MMA Championships in 2018. He is also the current holder of the Cage Warriors Wales Welterweight Amateur title.
