Pilates, developed by Joseph Pilates in 1883, includes 34 mat work exercises and is often referred to as “Contrology.” It’s all about using your mind to control core muscles, such as those in the lower back, stomach, hips, and glutes. By engaging in these balanced exercises with controlled breathing, Pilates aims to correct posture imbalances and help you find balance, flexibility, and coordination in your body.
At Core Factor Pilates, the focus is on building muscle strength and control without excessive physical strain.
