Led by Laura, an experienced and highly trained dancer specialising in contemporary dance, LJ Dance has a reputation for excellence. In fact, our dancers have achieved incredible success, winning numerous competitions and showcasing their talent on various platforms.
Whether you're a beginner looking to discover the beauty of contemporary dance or a seasoned dancer ready to take on new challenges, LJ Dance has the perfect class for you. Our beginner classes are specifically designed for individuals new to the style or those who simply enjoy dancing without the desire to compete. However, dancers from this class may have the opportunity to be selected for our competition team.
For those more familiar with contemporary dance, LJ Dance offers intermediate and advanced classes. These sessions are tailored for dancers who wish to refine their skills, train at a high level, and compete in exhilarating competitions.
Conveniently located at Balshaws High School on Church Rd, Leyland PR25 3AH, LJ Dance welcomes both gymnasts and dancers to participate in taster sessions. You can come along, experience our classes, and decide if LJ Dance is the right fit for you. Following the trial period, monthly payments are required to secure your spot.
LJ Dance happily welcomes beginners of all ages, starting from 4 years old. During the trial period, new starters are required to wear shorts and t-shirts. However, once you become a full member, a leotard is mandatory.
Our pricing structure is simple and affordable. The cost for the trial period is determined by the number of hours you plan to attend, priced at £4.50 per hour. For full membership, fees are £17 per month for beginner/junior classes (1 hour) and £25.50 per month for intermediate/senior classes (1.5 hours).
At LJ Dance, we value consistency and strive to provide regular training opportunities. Our teaching year consists of 45 weeks, with breaks for Christmas, summer, and Easter. Monthly fees are due on the 1st of each month. While we don't require a contract, we do ask for 1 month's notice if you decide to leave the club.
Due to limited space and current COVID-19 restrictions, parents are unable to watch classes in person. However, we make sure to keep our Facebook page updated with videos and photos of our dancers in action. Additionally, LJ Dance actively participates in carnivals and shows, which offer opportunities for parents and family members to see our dancers shine.
