Coll Golf Course, a local nine-hole golf course located near the town of Arinagour on the beautiful Isle of Coll, invites interested players to join their upcoming golf event. Established in 1975, the course has received numerous improvements over the years, offering a unique and charming golfing experience for both locals and visitors. The course is open for play from June 1st until the end of August.
When visiting Coll Golf Course, players are kindly asked to pay the green fees at the Coll Hotel bar. The friendly bar staff will gladly direct you to the collection bottle displaying the various charges, or if you prefer, you can pay directly to David Moore. At Coll Golf Course, trust is the foundation, and if you are in need of clubs, there are two sets available for borrowing in the shed near the first tee. As a small gesture, the club kindly requests a donation, which can be dropped in the collection bottle at the bar.
To find Coll Golf Course, simply leave Arinagour and take the right fork at the bottom of the hill, opposite Coll's Community Centre. Continue along the road until you reach a T-junction, then turn left and travel approximately 500 meters. You'll notice the first tee on your right-hand side, situated at the top of a small hill. For your convenience, parking is available by the side of the road at the gate to the field. We kindly ask that you remember to close all gates behind you, as the golf course is located on farm land.
Coll Golf Course operates informally, with no clubhouse, steward, or starter. The unique charm of the facilities lies in their reliance on the honesty of players. Green fees should be paid in advance at the Coll Hotel, where a large collection bottle is placed on the bar. When paying, we kindly request that you leave a note with your name and the amount paid in the bottle. All the funds collected go towards the maintenance and upkeep of the course, including equipment, repairs, and fuel costs. By paying the fees, you are contributing to the preservation of this cherished golf course, ensuring it continues to bring enjoyment to both our local community and our cherished visitors.
