Welcome to Colchester Wado Ryu Karate! For over 30 years, this family-run martial arts school has been a staple in Colchester. Located in a dedicated, safe space, Colchester Wado Ryu Karate welcomes all age groups and abilities with a variety of classes.

There are Junior Classes for children aged 5 to 12, Cadets Class for ages 13 to 17, and Adults Classes for students 16 and above. They also offer a mixed age and ability class where families can train together, making it a great bonding experience.

At Colchester Wado Ryu Karate, they specialise in the Wado Ryu style, developed by Hironori Ohtsuka in 1934. This traditional martial art focuses on smooth movements, evasion techniques, and strikes, helping students build physical strength, discipline, focus, and self-confidence.

The instructors, led by Chief Instructor Darren (7th Dan black belt), are dedicated to providing a supportive environment. The team includes Senior Instructor Brandon Reynolds (4th Dan) and Lead Instructor Ethan Reynolds (3rd Dan), along with Dojo Manager Sharon Reynolds, all committed to helping students achieve their best.
