Frampton Cotterell Badminton Club, a local Badminton club in Bristol, invites badminton enthusiasts to join their weekly club night hosted at Yate Academy every Tuesday evening from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It's a fantastic opportunity to come together and enjoy the sport in a friendly and inclusive environment.
The club is excited to announce its participation in the Bristol League this year, with three teams representing them. They plan to enter a Mixed team in Division 4, a Mens team in Division 7, and a Ladies team in Division 2. Last year, the mixed team was unfortunately relegated from Division 3 to 4, but the ladies team had a incredible season and was promoted from Division 3 to 2.
When it comes to courts, the club has a total of 4 available on club nights throughout winter. They also play their home matches on Wednesday nights, providing plenty of opportunities for members to get on the courts and play some great badminton.
Membership at Frampton Cotterell Badminton Club is available at £155 for adults. This membership fee includes club fees, Badminton England fees, and Avon Badminton fees. The club currently boasts around 31 members and is always looking to welcome new players. Prospective members will undergo a three-week assessment period conducted by the club's committee to ensure their playing standard aligns with the club's level. If accepted, the fees paid during the trial period will be deducted from the full membership fee.
For those interested in checking out the club before committing, visitors are welcome to join the club for free during their first week. After that, there is a visitor's fee of £5 per week (£3 for juniors accompanied by a responsible adult) for the following two weeks. During this time, the club's selectors and chair will discuss the possibility of joining as a full member. If accepted, the fees paid as a visitor will be deducted from the full membership fee.
