Club Meets Friday Night is a fantastic event that the Mount Gambier District Little Athletics Centre hosts regularly at the Athletics Facility in Mount Gambier High School on Brownes Road. This event is the perfect opportunity for children to get involved in sports, have fun, and stay active.
The focus of this event is to promote family involvement, fun, and fitness for children. It serves as a warm-up and start event that takes place every Friday night throughout the track and field season. Such a great way to kick off the weekend!
For the safety and wellbeing of all participants, it is mandatory for children to wear a uniform and shoes during the event. This ensures that they are covered by the insurer in case of any unforeseen incidents. Additionally, a parent or guardian must also be present to supervise their children and take part in the fun.
We understand that sometimes the weather can get unpredictable. In case of rain, the event will unfortunately have to be canceled. But don't worry, we will keep you updated on any changes or cancellations through our Facebook page. So make sure to give it a follow!
During those scorching hot days, we take extra precautions to ensure everyone's safety. On such occasions, a modified meet will be held, and we kindly advise all athletes to wear a hat and sunscreen. We want to ensure that everyone stays cool, hydrated, and protected from the sun's harmful rays.
