Is able to truly understand the root cause of my pain and provide effective long-term solutions. She doesn't just treat the symptoms, but rather identifies the key dysfunctions driving the problem. What sets her apart is her whole body approach, using a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, movement rehabilitation, and home exercise programmes.
One of the fundamental principles Claire believes in is that pain and injury lead to changes in the way we move. These acquired faulty movement patterns often perpetuate the pain and dysfunction. By correcting these movement patterns, the body can begin to heal, and the pain can be alleviated. Claire understands that if you only treat the symptoms, the issue will usually recur.
That is why she is dedicated to providing her clients with long-term solutions, so they can get back to doing the things they love.
Claire's passion for helping her clients stems from her own personal experiences with injury and pain. She has dealt with a recurring back injury in her twenties and an injured shoulder from snowboarding. These experiences have given her a unique understanding of the frustration and limitations that come with chronic pain. Claire has dedicated herself to finding effective ways to manage her own pain and restriction, allowing her to live life to the fullest.
She now uses her knowledge and experience to help her clients do the same.
In addition to her background in physiotherapy, Claire is also a certified Pilates teacher. She initially pursued Pilates as a more holistic approach to health and wellbeing. However, she soon realised that combining manual therapy with Pilates was the most effective way to address joint, muscle, and fascial restriction. Claire has also added dry needling, a form of acupuncture, to her toolkit, finding it to be a quick and effective tool for treating fascia and muscle.
Claire's practise focuses on providing individualised care to her clients. She offers 60-minute consultations, allowing ample time to address the root cause of the issue and develop a personalised treatment plan. This combination of manual therapy, movement correction, and specific home exercises has proven to be successful in helping clients overcome pain and return to their favourite activities.
For Claire, the greatest pleasure comes from seeing her clients get back to doing the things they love, whether it's gardening, running, painting, or playing sports. She is dedicated to helping her clients live their lives to the fullest by freeing their bodies of restriction and pain. If you're tired of trying everything without success, don't give up. Claire Brownsworth Physiotherapy can provide you with the long-term solutions you've been searching for.
