City dojo

City Dojo is Wellington's newest centre for Japanese martial arts, specialising in Judo and Aikido. It's a collaboration between two long-established clubs, Riai Aikido Wellington and the Wellington Judo Academy. Situated in the Animates Building, Kaiwharawhara, it's a modern and spacious dojo perfect for students and groups to gather and train.

Both adult and junior beginners are welcome at City Dojo. Experienced instructors from Riai Aikido Wellington and the Wellington Judo Academy offer high-quality training in a supportive and friendly environment. Whether you want to improve your fitness, learn self-defence, or simply start a new hobby, City Dojo is the place to be.

The weekly class schedule is flexible to suit various training preferences. Riai Aikido classes run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturday mornings, while the Wellington Judo Academy holds classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday afternoons. This allows students to choose according to their schedule and interests.

City Dojo also hosts events and workshops throughout the year. These include Aikido workshops and gradings on selected Saturdays, and Judo seminars and national gradings on designated weekends. Students can check the provided calendar for specific dates and details.
