Connexion and support system outside our virtual yoga sessions. It's a chance to meet fellow yogis, chat, and enjoy nature together. The Sunday slow-cial takes place every Sunday at 2:00pm in various locations around Nottingham. We will meet at a designated spot and go for a leisurely walk, practising mindfulness and deepening our connexion with the natural environment.
This is a free event and open to all, whether you are a regular attendee of our classes or new to the community. Just bring yourself, comfortable walking shoes, and a willingness to connect with others in a meaningful way. ABOUT CHRIS TAYLOR YOGA Chris Taylor is a dedicated and experienced Yoga instructor based in Nottingham.
With a passion for making Yoga accessible and beneficial to everyone, Chris takes a functional and mindful approach to his teaching. He believes that Yoga should serve the student and help them live a full and balanced life. Having experienced classes that focused more on performance and exercise rather than self-exploration and growth, Chris aims to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all individuals, regardless of their experience or physical abilities. Chris does not promote a “no pain, no gain” mentality but instead encourages students to move, breathe, and relax at their own pace, with balance, steadiness, and composure.
Through open attention, intention, ease, and stability, students can approach difficult postures without fear or intimidation. Chris offers both in-person and online classes to cater to the different needs and preferences of his students. In-person classes are held weekly at convenient locations in Nottingham, with drop-in sessions available at an affordable price. For those who prefer to practise from the comfort of their own homes or have limited mobility, Chris also provides live online classes that allow for a safe and interactive practise.
Additionally, he offers pre-recorded Zoom classes of varying lengths for those who may not have sufficient time for a full practise or are unable to join live sessions. These recordings are available on a donation basis to ensure they are accessible to everyone. In addition to his classes, Chris hosts the “Sunday slow-cial,” a relaxed and socially distanced walk that provides an offline connexion for the online community. This free event is open to all and offers a space for yogis to connect and enjoy nature together.
