Established in 1974, Chilwell Olympia Karate School is one of the longest-standing karate clubs in Nottingham. Over the years, we have helped numerous students achieve black belt level and beyond, while also producing competitors who have proudly represented Great Britain in European and World Championships. This legacy of success and dedication is a testament to the quality of training we offer.

Affiliated with Shotokan Karate International, which has over three million members in over 80 countries, our school is part of one of the largest karate federations in the world. Headed by Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa, a 10th Dan black belt, Shotokan Karate International provides a strong support system and opportunities for growth and development for our students.

At Chilwell Olympia Karate School, we believe in creating a positive and friendly environment where everyone feels welcome. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned black belt, our dojo is open to all. We foster a sense of camaraderie and support among our students, encouraging each other to reach their full potential.

We highly recommend attending at least two classes a week to fully benefit from our training. Our karate classes run throughout the week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Private tuition is also available for those seeking more personalised instruction.
