Chichester Bowmen is a well-established archery club located in Chichester, Sussex. With over 60 years of history, the club is proud to be one of the largest in the area. Situated on our own 24/7 range, complete with a clubhouse, we offer a welcoming and inclusive environment for archers of all ages and skill levels.
Our club membership caters to a diverse range of individuals, from beginners looking to try out the sport for the first time, to experienced archers who have achieved great success in competitions. We have members as young as 8 years old, as well as seasoned veterans in their 70s. Chichester Bowmen is known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere, making it a great place to socialise and build lasting friendships.
To support our members in their archery journey, we offer comprehensive coaching for both beginners and more experienced archers. For beginners, we provide personalised support for the first 6 months to ensure their confidence and skills continue to grow. Novice archers can also seek advice from our seasoned archers during club days, creating a supportive learning environment.
As a club, we prioritise fostering a love for archery and helping our members achieve their goals. We organise regular social events and host and compete in local tournaments, consistently ranking highly in the Albion league. Additionally, we offer archery experience sessions and beginner courses throughout the year, allowing individuals to explore the sport and join our club.
Chichester Bowmen also extends a warm welcome to visiting archers from other clubs who wish to shoot at our range, subject to a nominal fee. We believe in creating a sense of community among archers and encourage the exchange of knowledge and skills.
