Chard Tae Kwon-Do is a reputable martial arts club located in Chard, New Zealand. Established in 2000 by Mrs. Nina Anderson, a 5th Degree Black Belt, our club aims to provide high-quality training and coaching to students of all ages and abilities. Our fully qualified instructors, who are affiliated with the T.
A. G. B, are dedicated to bringing the ancient art of Tae Kwon-Do to our members, while promoting values such as control, discipline, and respect for oneself and others.
At Chard Tae Kwon-Do, we believe that practising this ancient form of unarmed combat can bring a plethora of benefits to individuals. These include improved fitness levels, increased confidence, self-discipline, and the ability to defend oneself. Moreover, Tae Kwon-Do enhances concentration, coordination, and respect. It serves as a rewarding and fulfilling activity, offering stress-relief and an opportunity for socialising.
Our club welcomes everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners, and we pride ourselves on being a family-friendly environment. We offer classes for individuals ages 3 and above, ensuring that each student receives tailored instruction suitable for their skill level and age. Our aim is to coach, motivate, and inspire all our members, whether their goal is to improve their physical fitness, enhance their self-defence skills, build confidence, or even achieve a black belt.
Our training hall is of the highest quality, providing a safe and comfortable space for our students. We have a dedicated team of instructors who have undergone rigorous training and hold various degrees of black belts. Our team includes Mrs. Nina Anderson, our club founder and senior instructor, as well as other highly experienced instructors such as Richard Tytherleigh, Georgia King, and Steve Mines.
Each instructor brings their unique expertise and passion to the classes they teach.
Chard Tae Kwon-Do is proud to have a group of dedicated STORM leaders who assist with the training and development of our members. These leaders, such as Catherine Grice, Tom Hallett, and Charlotte King, play an essential role in helping students progress and achieve their goals.
We understand that joining a martial arts club is a significant decision, so we offer new beginners the opportunity to attend their first two sessions for free. This way, individuals can experience Tae Kwon-Do firsthand and determine if it aligns with their interests and aspirations.
