Practising and teaching Yoga. Initially, I was drawn to it as a way to keep my body strong, flexible, and functioning well. However, I soon discovered that Yoga offers so much more.
At CatrionaYoga, I offer a variety of classes including Beginners Yoga, Gentle Hatha Flow, Hatha Vinyasa, and Pregnancy Yoga. My classes are small and welcoming, providing a safe and supportive environment for students to experience the overwhelming benefits of Yoga.
In my classes, we focus not only on physical poses but also on pranayama, which are breathing techniques. By learning to breathe properly and deeply, we can increase our energy levels, improve organ function, and calm our nervous system. We begin and end each class with relaxation, as learning to relax is a crucial skill in our busy and stressful lives.
As a certified teacher of Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga, I have a special interest in supporting mothers-to-be on their journey. I am also a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals and a member of Complementary Health Professionals, ensuring that I uphold high standards of teaching.
In addition to Yoga, I also offer Sports Massage Therapy at my clinic, which is open to both students and referrals. This therapy complements the benefits of Yoga by helping to address any muscular imbalances or tension.
