Carshalton Little League was established in 1974 and is part of a national network of Little Leagues that began in 1968 in Morden, South London. The league takes pride in providing affordable football for children of all abilities between the ages of 6-16. With the help of over 60 dedicated volunteers, the league is able to manage, referee, line, train, and much more. These volunteers, along with our generous sponsors, make it possible for Carshalton Little League to continue to grow and thrive.
At Carshalton Little League, we have five leagues, each with their own teams. The Bantams league is for children under 8 and in school years 1/2/3. The focus in this league is on having fun, building teamwork, boosting confidence, and developing a love for the game. While scores are kept, the league does not chart league tables each week.
The Bantams League consists of 9 teams, including Falcons (BM Air Ltd), Gladiators (Done and Dusted), Lions (Gazzas), and Spitfires (Ace Roofing and Guttering), among others.
The Juniors league is for children under 10 and in school years 4/5. In this league, children continue to develop team building skills, work together, and gain a deeper understanding of the game. With 11 teams in the Juniors League, such as Barracudas, Blue Jays, and Knights, the league tracks scores and converts them into league tables each week.
As children progress into the Intermediate league under 12 and in school years 6/7, they begin to further their knowledge of the game. In addition to continued confidence building and teamwork, they also learn the offside rule. The Intermediate League comprises 8 teams, including Angels, Crusaders, and Tigers. Scores in this league are also converted into league tables.
