Welcome to Carlisle Snowsports Club's website, a small Dendex Dry ski slope located in the heart of Carlisle. The club offers skiing lessons for children, adults, groups, and private lessons. The main slope is equipped with flood lights, a sprinkler system, and a ski tow, making it suitable for day and night skiing. Slalom markers are available for racers, and there is a small set of bumps for more adventurous skiers.
Carlisle Snowsports Club is situated in the grounds of Carlisle cricket club, with its own clubhouse and car park that provides disabled access. All instructors for scheduled and private lessons are fully BASI and/or CASI/CSIA qualified, ensuring high quality instruction at the slope. The club believes in keeping lessons fun, relaxed, and exciting to help grow and develop snow sports skills.
Membership prices for adults, children, and families are available, with children's lesson prices starting at 10. Adults can enjoy lessons starting at 15 per hour, while private lessons with one instructor and up to two people are priced at 50. Tubing prices for children and parties are also available, with tubing sessions being a popular and thrilling activity. Advanced booking with a deposit is required for tubing sessions.
Turbo tubing is a rapidly growing snowsport that provides great fun for children and families. The clubhouse can be hired for birthday parties, and no lessons are needed as each session includes a safety briefing and introduction. Tubing tubes are specially made with a rubber body and hard base for a cushioned ride down the slopes. The fully trained staff supervisors are always available to assist beginners.
Turbo tubing is suitable for individuals aged 4 and above, making it a fantastic family activity.
