The Centre d'activits physiques et sportives (CAPS) in Thetford Mines is a non-profit wellness complex founded in 1993 with a mission to provide the local population with tailored medical services and physical activities. Over the years, CAPS has expanded its offerings to include physiotherapy, kinesiology, massage therapy, group classes, and sports court rentals, catering to individuals with significant physical limitations to elite athletes. With a focus on improving overall health, CAPS has continuously enhanced its services over the past 30 years.
CAPS offers a range of therapeutic services to help clients regain their range of motion and fluidity in movement. Physiotherapists, kinesiologist trainers, and massage therapists form part of the team dedicated to assisting clients in their rehabilitation journey. The complex also boasts sports services, such as a 24-hour access gym, group fitness classes, and various sports court facilities.
Joining the CAPS community means engaging in training, practising your favourite sport, or regaining mobility and function through therapeutic services. The facility's reception hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 8 pm, Friday from 8 am to 7 pm, and weekends from 9 am to 12 pm, making it convenient for individuals with varying schedules to access their services.
