Bush Jitsu is a Martial Arts club located in Whangrei, New Zealand, offering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) classes for individuals aged 4 years and above. With a team of highly skilled instructors, including Brennan Matheson, a Black Belt, Josh Trask and Hugh Hennan, both Brown Belts, as well as Bronson Brown and Keri Stevens, both Purple Belts, Bush Jitsu provides top-notch training for both kids and adults.
The club is committed to helping individuals of all ages and skill levels learn and improve their BJJ techniques in a friendly and supportive environment. With a range of programmes available, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Kids classes, private training, and group sessions, there is something for everyone at Bush Jitsu.
The club's schedule offers a variety of classes throughout the week, allowing members to find a time that suits their schedule. Whether it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the club ensures that there are plenty of options available for training.
Membership options at Bush Jitsu are designed to cater to different needs. Memberships are based on attending more than 2 classes per week, with every class thereafter being free of charge. Membership fees are paid on a weekly basis throughout the year. The club also offers gift vouchers and concession cards for those who prefer a more flexible payment option.
In addition to training, Bush Jitsu also has a shop where members can purchase high-quality gear, including Gi's, beanies, rash guards, spats, stickers, T-shirts, and training shorts. We run Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs for adults and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Kids from 4 years and up. We also offer a relaxed beginner Ladies Class designed for anyone new to BJJ, with no experience needed.
You can join scheduled group classes and occasional events like the Kings Birthday Open Mat from 11am to 12pm. For the full schedule and private training options, check our schedule.
Visitors are welcome to come along to open mats and sign a waiver before entering the mats. You can also use our signup option to get started with the program.
