Skill building and technique workthis portion of the class will focus on skill development, technique refinement, and boxing combinations. The coaches will work with each youth individually to improve their boxing skills.
Bag work and sparringyouth will have the opportunity to practice what they have learned on the heavy bags and participate in controlled sparring sessions under the supervision of the coaches.
Cooldown and stretchingto finish off the class, the coaches will lead the group through a series of stretches to help prevent injury and promote recovery.
Facilities The Burrows Resource Centre is equipped with a fully functional boxing gym including heavy bags, speed bags, a full-sized boxing ring, and a variety of fitness equipment. The facility also has a study area with desks, chairs, and access to educational resources for youth members.
Volunteer Opportunities The centre welcomes volunteers who are passionate about boxing and fitness to assist with coaching, mentorship, and academic support for the youth members. Volunteers are required to complete a screening process and training before working with the youth.
