ClassesAt Burroughs Dance Centre, we offer a wide range of classes to suit all ages and abilities. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, we have something for everyone. Our classes cover various branches of dance, including Ballroom, Latin, Solo Latin, Classical Sequence, Rock n' Roll, Argentine Tango, Hustle, and Swing (Lindy Hop) among others. Please note that some dance styles are offered under private tuition only.
For those who prefer one-on-one instruction or want to focus on specific goals, we offer private tuition. Our experienced instructors will work closely with you to develop your skills and techniques according to your needs and preferences. Whether you want to improve your dancing for competitions or simply want to learn at your own pace, private tuition provides a personalised and tailored approach to learning.
In addition to traditional dance classes, we also offer Fitsteps, a fun and energetic dance fitness programme designed to improve stamina, muscle strength, and flexibility. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and provides a great workout while learning dance moves from popular ballroom and Latin dances.
InstructorsOur dedicated team of instructors is led by Sue Burroughs, the principal of Burroughs Dance Centre. Sue has extensive teaching experience and is a Fellow & Examiner and past President of UKA Dance, one of the largest dance associations in the UK. She has trained British Champions and Finalists in all age groups and is also a championship adjudicator. Andrew Davies, our head instructor, is an Undefeated United Kingdom and British Classical Sequence Champion, as well as an Undefeated British Professional Champion.
He brings over 20 years of dance experience to our school.
