Sydney Park Skate Park, the local skateboarding club in Erskineville, is thrilled to announce the upcoming skateboarding event at the newly completed skate park in Sydney Park. This exciting addition to our city offers skaters of all skill levels and disciplines a chance to showcase their talent in a state-of-the-art facility.
The skate park is designed with various zones, catering to every skater's preference. Whether you're a street skater or prefer the smooth curves of a bowl, there's something for everyone. The lineal plaza zone provides the perfect spot for technical tricks, while the beginners' bowl is ideal for those new to the sport. For intermediate and advanced skaters, the flow bowl offers a thrilling and challenging experience.
What sets this skate park apart is not just its impressive design, but also the thoughtful amenities that accompany it. The park features beautiful landscaping, ensuring an enjoyable and visually pleasing experience for all. It is well-lit, allowing skaters to continue shredding during the evening hours. Additionally, footpaths and picnic areas are available, providing a space for spectators or a well-deserved rest after an intense session.
Accessibility is also a priority at Sydney Park Skate Park. A new path connects the skate park to the southern part of Sydney Park, making it easily accessible for people using wheelchairs, bikes, and scooters. We believe in inclusivity and want everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy this fantastic facility.
The construction of the skate park was carried out by Concrete Skateparks Pty Ltd, starting in mid-June 2019. We greatly appreciate their expertise and dedication in bringing this dream to reality. Throughout the construction period, temporary changes were made to the car park off Sydney Park Road to ensure the skate park's seamless integration. However, we are delighted to confirm that the Sydney Park Cycling Centre remained open, albeit with temporary access changes.
With a significant number of skateboarders residing in the area, along with thousands more within a 20 km radius of Sydney Park, we are confident that this new skate park will be a haven for skaters from far and wide. It is a testament to the growing popularity of the sport and the enthusiasm of the local community.
Should you require further information or have any inquiries about the skate park, please feel free to contact Thomas Gough, the Project Manager. He can be reached at 02 9265 9333 or via email at [email protected]. Thomas will be more than happy to assist you and provide any additional details you may need.
Sydney Park Skate Park eagerly awaits the upcoming event and looks forward to welcoming skaters from all corners of Sydney. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to showcase your skills and become a part of our vibrant skateboarding community. See you at the skate park!
