Welcome to Sydney Park Skate Park, located in Erskineville, Australia. This state-of-the-art skate park is a haven for skateboarders of all skill levels and disciplines. With over 2,000 skateboarders in the area and around 56,000 within a 20 km radius, the Sydney Park Skate Park is a vibrant and bustling public space.
Completed in December 2020, the construction of this skate park was overseen by Thomas Gough, the project manager. The park features a traditional skate zone that caters to all skill levels and includes a combination of street and bowl style obstacles. This zone provides skateboarders with the opportunity to showcase their skills and practise their tricks.
Additionally, the skate park has a lineal plaza zone, which is designed for street style technical tricks and features low-level obstacles. This area is perfect for beginners looking to improve their skills and learn new tricks.
For new skaters, there is a beginners bowl that offers a safe and controlled environment to practise and build confidence. The flow bowl, varying in depth from 1. 5 to 3 metres, is ideal for intermediate or advanced skaters who are seeking a more challenging experience.
The skate park is not only designed with the skaters in mind but also provides a pleasant and inviting environment for spectators. It features new landscaping and lighting, as well as footpaths and picnic areas where visitors can relax and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
The park is also accessible to a wide range of individuals using wheelchairs, bikes, and scooters, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this fantastic facility.
During the construction process, our contractor, Concrete Skateparks Pty Ltd, worked diligently to bring this project to life. Temporary changes to the car park off Sydney Park Road were implemented to accommodate the installation of a new drainage line. However, the Sydney Park Cycling Centre remained open with temporary access changes in place.
