The Brisbane Trail Marathon & TRAQ 25 event organised by the Trail Running Association of Queensland is set to be an exhilarating experience for all trail running enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned trail runner or looking to take on a new challenge, this event has something for everyone.
Taking place on Sunday, 28th April 2024, participants can choose from the full Marathon, the challenging TRAQ 25, or the shorter Walkabout Creek Trail Race. With a variety of terrains to conquer, including open fire-trails, narrow single trials, eucalypt woodlands, and lush rainforest, runners can expect an exciting and diverse trail running experience.
Safety is a top priority for the event organisers, with medical and support services available at checkpoints along the course. Mandatory gear requirements are in place to ensure the well-being of all participants, so be sure to come prepared with the necessary supplies.
After crossing the finish line, participants can refuel with post-event catering including snacks, fruit, and drinks. Coffee will also be available for purchase for those in need of a caffeine boost.
Parking at the event venue, Enoggera Reservoir, is limited so carpooling is recommended. Restrictions apply on where to park within the area, so please follow the designated parking locations within the SEQwater reserved area.
With challenging courses for both the Marathon and TRAQ 25, participants will have the opportunity to push themselves to new limits. The Marathon course covers a distance of 42.37 km with a total elevation of 1,796m, while the TRAQ 25 course is approximately 24.7 km with a total elevation of 1,037m.
