Are you the owner of Bright Active?

Damian wants to share some exciting news from Bright Active, the fitness centre on beautiful Waiheke Island. He's dedicated to inspiring everyone with movement, creativity, and imagination through a variety of programmes designed to boost physical fitness, teamwork, and personal growth.
One of the highlights at Bright Active is the Summer Holiday Programme. Running during the school holidays, this programme provides kids aged 5 to 13 with a range of fun activities. Held at the Ostend War Memorial Hall, the programme combines physical games with creative stations. The physical games focus on team building, spatial awareness, coordination, and ball handling, while the creative stations encourage imagination with adult assistance.
A typical day starts at 8:30 am, with kids getting to know each other before the day's plan is explained. They can choose between physical activities or creative stations, with unstructured playtime also available. Outdoor activities are on the agenda, as long as everyone has sunscreen and hats.
The day kicks off with a physical warm-up at 9:00 am. Morning tea is at 10:00 am, so make sure kids bring their own snacks. Activities resume with team-based games and guided creative stations. Lunchtime is at 11:30 am, and a packed lunch from home is required.
The afternoon continues with more strategy games and creative activities. A snack break at 1:00 pm is followed by free choice time, where kids can build huts, create obstacle courses, or wrap up other activities. All children should be picked up by 2:30 pm unless other arrangements have been made.
A dedicated team of professionals leads the programme. Damian himself, a trained physical education teacher and an Athletics NZ accredited coach, focuses on developing coordination, balance, reflexes, and spatial awareness. He’s a retired professional athlete who has also represented Poland internationally.
Joining him is Alana, the programme director. With a passion for sports, she’s dedicated years to her own training and continues to inspire young athletes.
At Bright Active, everyone can find a supportive environment that promotes physical activity, creativity, and personal growth. Whether it's the Summer Holiday Programme or other fitness activities, Damian is excited to help individuals of all ages lead a healthy and active lifestyle. 🌟🏃♂️
