Brentwood Netball Club has a team in the Net Set Go Programme for children aged 7 to 9 years old. The club has a rich history, having been established in 1978 by Julie Wilkinson, a teacher at Brentwood Primary School (now Glen Waverley South Primary School). It started with two primary school-aged teams and held training sessions at the school courts in Watsons Road, Glen Waverley. Over the years, the club has grown and now includes players from neighbouring schools and expanded its number of senior teams.
Junior teams now train at the Waverley Netball Centre.
Training sessions for junior teams take place on Fridays from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm on the outdoor courts at the Waverley Netball Centre in Jells Park. In case of rain, coaches will notify players of cancelled sessions through team WhatsApp or Team App. All matches are held at the Waverley Netball Centre.
Brentwood Netball Club also has a tradition of honouring outstanding achievements and contributions. Life membership has been awarded to several individuals who have made significant contributions to the club, including Julie Wilkinson, Vi Wilson, Maureen Ball, Beth Murr, Yvonne McAuley, Elise Cowley, and Sally Laxton.
