Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary is a hidden gem located in the picturesque town of Puslinch. This unique sanctuary is home to a herd of Champion alpacas, Indian Runner Ducks, and two horses that have found their forever home in this tranquil setting. Visitors to Brae Ridge are invited to experience a private and intimate tour that allows them to get up close and personal with these majestic animals.
During the tour, guests will have the opportunity to hand feed the alpacas and learn all about their behaviour, sounds they make, and the luxurious fibre they produce. Visitors will also have the chance to meet the friendly Indian Runner Ducks and feed the horses. The tour concludes with a visit to the workshop, where guests can feel the alpaca fibre and learn how it is processed into yarn. Children especially enjoy taking turns at carding the fibre, making it a fun and educational experience for the whole family.
At Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary, the well-being of the animals is top priority, which is why visits are limited to ensure that the animals are always happy and stress-free. The sanctuary is not a petting zoo and does not offer alpaca walks, as the animals are never tethered to strangers. Visitors can rest assured that their visit will be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for both them and the animals.
All proceeds from visits to Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary go directly towards the care of the animals and providing forever homes to rescued animals. The sanctuary strictly enforces a no-refund policy for “no-shows” and cancelations with less than 48 hours notice, as all funds are essential for the well-being of the herd. Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary also prohibits the entry of dogs and other pets during visits to ensure the safety of both visitors and animals.
Visitors to Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary have consistently praised their experience, describing it as a magical and rejuvenating retreat. The serene atmosphere and the close interaction with the animals leave guests feeling renewed and full of positivity. Whether you are a long-time animal lover or simply looking for a unique and peaceful experience, Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary is the perfect destination for a memorable visit.
