Borough Bowling Club

Welcome to Borough Bowling Club, one of the oldest crown green clubs on the East Coast, located in the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and progressive club, welcoming new members of any age or ability who are interested in bowling socially or joining teams.

At Borough Bowling Club, lack of experience is not a problem as we provide loan bowls and coaching for those who are new to the sport. Our social bowling times are Monday at 1pm, Tuesday at 11am, Friday at 1pm, and Saturday at 11am. We encourage everyone to come along and give it a try.

Being a member of Scarborough and District Bowling Association, we provide a range of membership options. The subscription fees are 70 for full members, 35 for members aged 18-21, 6 for members under 18, and 5 for social members. In addition, there is a one-time B. C.

G. B. A. registration fee of 16.

50 for all new members. Visitors are also welcome with a green fee of 2. 00 per session.

Borough Bowling Club has a rich history, having been founded in 1905. Our green, located on Manor Road, has been open since 1902 and is the oldest of its kind in the area. We are proud to be preserving this heritage and continuing the tradition of crown green bowling on the East Coast.

We are constantly organising various news and events for our members. From competitions to social gatherings, there is always something happening at Borough Bowling Club. Recently, we held the GT Garages sponsored over 60s Doubles Merit event, attracting 60 bowlers from all over the East Coast region to enjoy our superbly prepared running green.
