The retreat takes place four times a year, with the next one scheduled for August 2019. Payment plans are available to accommodate your needs. The retreat centre boasts incredible views of the surrounding valley, which leads down to a private section of possum creek in Bangalow. This picturesque creek features pristine waters and is even home to a resident platypus.
The property itself consists of 5 luxurious bedrooms and a charming riverfront Boat House with a 1-bedroom self-contained space. Bodhi Yoga Retreat ensures that your taste buds are not neglected during your stay, as the meals are prepared using local produce sourced directly from nearby farms. The kitchen caters to gluten-free and vegan dietary requirements, ensuring that everyone's needs are met.
Your hosts for this retreat are Chris and Allie Williams, experienced yoga teachers and owners of the renowned Bodhi Yoga in Brisbanes CBD. With their love for yoga and serene surroundings, they will guide you through gentle hatha yoga sessions, invigorating Vinyasa flows, and soul-soothing sound healing practises. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to partake in deep meditations, nurturing your mind-body connexion and leaving you feeling restored and rejuvenated.
A typical day at Bodhi Yoga Retreat revolves around embracing the natural beauty and tranquilly of the surroundings. Starting your day with a cup of tea, you can ground yourself by walking barefoot on the cascading grass. Engage in a yoga practise that aligns with your needs, venture to the pristine creek to spot the resident platypus, and enjoy wholesome and organic meals. Surrender to the sound healing meditations or connect with the local rainforest through a shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) practise.
The retreat offers a range of yoga classes including gentle Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow classes, Yin yoga, and meditation practises such as Vipassana and Yoga Nidra. For those interested in exploring the lush rainforest, a guided rainforest walk is available. This retreat truly provides a holistic experience that nurtures the body, mind, and soul.
