Dive into the fun with Blue Sole Freediving Club! 🌊 Based in Poole, Dorset, this friendly bunch meets at the Dolphin Leisure Centre and welcomes everyone with recognised freediving qualifications (like RAID, AIDA, PADI, SSI, or Molchanov). Blue Sole Freediving Club offers two weekly sessions for all members (with prior booking). Tuesdays are great for beginners and intermediates, focusing on comfort in the water, finning technique, statics, dynamics, buddy safety, games, and fitness. Fridays are perfect for those of you keen on competing or following specific training plans.
You’ll always find experienced members ready to share tips and feedback on techniques like finning, turns, and body position, and sometimes even with GoPro footage! 📸
Our training includes static apnea (holding your breath while floating) and dynamic apnea (swimming horizontally underwater with or without fins). Safety is key, and everyone gets proper buddy training to keep things secure and fun – plus, games make training even better!
Fitness is important too, so expect some fitness drills to help you improve. And the benefits? Meeting adventurous people, exploring the south coast’s kelp forests, quarries, and shipwrecks, and feeling the calming effects as you leave stress behind under the water.
For surfers, improved water confidence and breath hold ability can be a game-changer!
