The Black Rock Life Saving Club Cadets Program is the ultimate destination for high school students aged 12-17 who are looking to experience the thrill of lifesaving. This program offers a supportive and fun environment where cadets can develop their skills and unlock their full potential. Whether they have been nippers before or are new to the world of lifesaving, the Cadets Program welcomes all aspiring lifesavers!
At the heart of our program is the belief that every individual has unique strengths and preferences. We strive to recognise and nurture these strengths, whether they lie in physical training, leadership, first aid, or any other lifesaving discipline. Through a range of engaging activities and training sessions, cadets have the opportunity to learn valuable skills such as First Aid, CPR, Defibrillator use, Rescue techniques, and Emergency Care. We truly believe that these skills can make a difference in the lives of others and empower our cadets to become extraordinary lifesavers.
One of the highlights of our program is the potential for cadets to earn certifications. The Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) can be acquired at the young age of 13, followed by the prestigious Bronze Medallion Award (BM) at 15. These certifications not only recognise the dedication and hard work put in by our cadets, but also equip them with the knowledge and expertise to save lives in the open water.
But it doesn't stop there. Volunteering as a lifesaver is an incredibly rewarding experience that allows cadets to protect the community between the iconic red and yellow flags. Beyond the physical training and skill development, our program instils a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and empathy in each cadet. By joining the Black Rock Life Saving Club Cadets Program, you are not just becoming a lifesaver, but also becoming a part of a tight-knit community that embodies the spirit of saving lives.
So why wait? Take the plunge and join the Black Rock Life Saving Club Cadets Program today. Unleash your potential, develop life-saving skills, and make a difference in the lives of others. We can't wait to welcome you into our lifesaving family!
