Bikram Original Hot Yoga Geelong is Geelong's home for pure Bikram yoga. We offer the original 90-minute Bikram beginners series, giving you a therapeutic and undiluted yoga experience. Our dedicated team of experienced teachers creates a welcoming and supportive environment where every class is beginner-friendly. We believe that yoga is for everybody, regardless of age, fitness level, illness, or injury.
To ensure a positive and harmonious yoga experience for all, we kindly ask our students to follow our studio etiquette guidelines. These guidelines include arriving early to class, wearing appropriate yoga attire, bringing your own mat and towel, refraining from wearing strong scents, and respecting the silence and space of others. By adhering to these guidelines, we create a peaceful and respectful environment for everyone to practise and grow.

If it's your first time practising Bikram yoga, we have a few tips to help you make the most of your experience. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to check-in, hydrating properly before class, bringing a water bottle, and wearing lightweight and breathable clothing. It's important to listen to your body, take breaks as needed, and remember that yoga is a journey, not a competition. Our teachers are always available to answer any questions and provide guidance throughout the class.
During a Bikram yoga class, you can expect to practise a series of 26 hatha yoga postures and two breathing exercises in a room heated to around 40 degrees Celsius. The heat helps to warm up the muscles, increase flexibility, and facilitate detoxification through sweating. Each class is 90 minutes long, allowing for a complete and comprehensive practise that works every muscle and system in the body. You may find the practise challenging at times, but with patience, dedication, and regular practise, you will experience numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits.
