Beverley Hills Junior Football Club is a renowned AFL club located in Doncaster East, Victoria. Established in 1967, it is one of the founding members of the Doncaster and District Junior Football League. The club's history dates back to a public meeting called by the Fitzroy Football Club, which led to the formation of the league. In December 1967, a meeting was held at the home of John Thompson, resulting in the decision to form a football club in the East Doncaster area.
Under the leadership of Les Smith as President and John Thompson as Secretary, Beverley Hills Football Club officially came into existence. Despite facing financial challenges and a lack of equipment, the club adopted its name with the hope of being able to borrow jumpers from the nearby Beverley Hills Primary School. The club fielded teams in both the Under 12's and Under 14's competitions provided by the league in 1968.
Since its humble beginnings, the Beverley Hills Junior Football Club has grown exponentially. The club is proud to be recognised as one of AFL Victoria's Quality Club Programme with Gold Accreditation. In 2013, it became the first and only YJFL club to achieve this esteemed status. Among over 1200 clubs in Victoria, only four clubs have obtained such a high level of accreditation.
The gold level accreditation is a testament to the club's exceptional administration.
The club's philosophy centres around the development of young individuals in both football and life skills. With the aim of helping young people grow into better footballers and better individuals, the Beverley Hills Junior Football Club offers various community and social responsibility programmes throughout the year. The club provides a safe and inclusive environment for participants of all ages and abilities.
Currently, the club boasts over 300 boys and girls across 15 teams, spanning from Auskick to U17 Colts. In addition to competitive football, the Beverley Hills JFC organises numerous social activities, including monthly family nights, which serve as an excellent opportunity for all members to come together and have fun.
The club attributes its success to the unwavering support of sponsors, parents, and supporters. The belief that “Great people make Great clubs” drives the Beverley Hills Junior Football Club to continually strive for excellence. With a commitment to fostering young talent and creating a positive community, the club has become a highly respected institution in the AFL community.
