Benita-Yoga is a serene and welcoming yoga studio located in Barking, New Zealand. Founded by Senior Yoga Teacher and Sound Practitioner, Benita, the studio offers a variety of yoga classes and gong baths to help individuals achieve a state of equanimity and reconnect with their natural selves.
At Benita-Yoga, the focus is on an embodied yoga practise, where students are encouraged to delve deeper into their practise by incorporating sacred sounds of the gongs. This unique combination allows for a holistic experience, bringing harmony to the mind, body, and spirit.
The studio offers weekly yoga classes suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Classes are designed to cater to individual needs and preferences, offering a range of styles including dynamic asthanga, slow flows, restorative, and yin yoga sessions. Benita's journey into yoga began during a challenging period in her life, where she sought relief from back pain caused by a stressful banking job. What started as a physical endeavour soon turned into a deep exploration of self and a passion for understanding the mind-body connexion. Her dedication and journey led her to complete a 200-hours Yoga Teacher Training in Sri Lanka and a 500-hours Yoga Teacher Training in Bali.
With her extensive knowledge and experience, Benita is committed to helping individuals find balance, alignment, and inner peace through the practise of yoga.
