Beginner Kayak Course 'Discover' Award

Viking Kayak Club is excited to announce their upcoming Beginner Kayak Course, perfect for families and adults looking to get out on the water together. This session will be led by experienced paddle leaders, providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all participants. From mastering the basics like getting in and out of the boat to developing essential paddling skills, this course is designed to get everyone paddling with confidence.

For those looking to enhance their decision-making and practical skills, the Beginner Kayak Course is the perfect opportunity to take the next step towards becoming an independent paddler. Viking Kayak Club will provide all necessary equipment, ensuring participants have everything they need to make the most of their time on the water.

Upon completion of the course, attendees will receive a Paddling UK 'Discover' Award certificate and a 4-week membership to Viking Kayak Club, giving them the chance to practice their new skills during club nights. Non-members can take advantage of a discounted price by purchasing a club membership, saving £40 per person.

Interested individuals are required to have water confidence, swimming ability, and be at least 9 years old to participate. Viking Kayak Club welcomes those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and encourages them to communicate any specific requirements during the booking process.
