Welcome to Bees Academy, the premier athletic club located in Bromley, New Zealand. Designed specifically for children in school years 1 up to and including year 8, Bees Academy aims to encourage their participation in sports and develop their athletic potential.
Coaching sessions are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, as well as on Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Norman Park Athletics Track. The convenient timing allows children to engage in athletics without compromising their school hours or other commitments.
At Bees Academy, there are three schemes available for aspiring athletes. The first scheme, On Track – Track & Field, is open to school year 3 and above. This scheme covers a range of activities including running, jumping, and throwing, giving participants exposure to various forms and techniques of these disciplines.
The second scheme, Off Track – Endurance, caters to school year 3 and above who have a particular interest in endurance-type running such as cross country. This scheme allows athletes to focus on building their stamina and endurance.
For young children in school years 1 and 2, the Mini Bees scheme is introduced. This scheme provides a nurturing and age-appropriate environment for the little ones to develop their athletic skills and foster a love for sports.
The leading coaches at Bees Academy are licenced by UK Athletics at different levels, ensuring that each athlete receives top-notch training and guidance. These coaches specialise in various disciplines, allowing students to benefit from a comprehensive coaching programme.
While Bees Academy acts as a feeder to the successful Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC, children are free to join other clubs based on their preferences and interests. We prioritise the autonomy of our athletes and respect their choices.
As we value the privacy and consent of our athletes and their families, any concerns regarding photographs or images featuring a child can be communicated to us, and we will promptly remove the said photograph(s).
To register your child for Bees Academy schemes, simply complete the registration form on our website. Doing so will add your child's name to our database, and you will be included in our mailing list. We only take bookings for six-week blocks at a time, to ensure flexibility and convenience for all participants.
