Aurora Yoga Lennox is a yoga and pilates studio located in the picturesque village of Lennox Head in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. With the soothing sound of the ocean as the backdrop, Aurora Yoga offers small group classes for individuals of all levels, from beginners to more experienced practitioners.
Alicia Trevelyan, the knowledgeable and experienced owner and instructor of Aurora Yoga Lennox, has been passionate about yoga since childhood. Growing up, she accompanied her mother to yoga classes and immersed herself in yoga literature. Alicia's journey in yoga led her to study under renowned teachers such as Janet Stevens and attend workshops by T. K.
V. Desikachar and Donna Farhi.
Inspired by her teachers and drawn to the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya and T. Desikachar, Alicia pursued formal training to deepen her understanding of yoga. She completed a 500-hour diploma of teacher training with Michael de Manincor at the Yoga Institute in Cammeray, Sydney. In addition, she earned qualifications as a yoga therapist with the Yoga Therapy Institute, undertaking 745 hours of training.
Alicia's commitment to continuous learning and growth in her practise is evident through her current studies with Saraswathi Vasudevan and Mischa Telford. As a Level 2 Teacher and registered Yoga Therapist with Yoga Australia, Alicia brings over 1500 hours of teaching experience to her classes.
Beyond her yoga qualifications, Alicia holds a Bachelor of Business degree, and is a certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor. Prior to relocating to Lennox Head, Alicia spent two years teaching yoga and pilates at the onsite gym at Optus Head Office in Sydney. Since 2016, she has been sharing her love and knowledge of yoga and pilates through classes at Happy Mountain Studio in Alstonville and Surfit in Lennox Head.
Alicia's teaching style focuses on breath-focused yoga and pilates that enables students to enhance their physical and mental well-being. Aurora Yoga Lennox offers a variety of classes to cater to different needs, including Slow Flow Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Gentle Yoga.
