About
Welcome to the Auckland Seido Karate Club, where training in Seido Karate takes place in a community committed to respect and excellence. Located in Auckland, New Zealand, the club is open to everyone, from novices to seasoned martial artists, ages five to 75.
Jun Shihan Patrick, the head instructor, began his Seido Karate journey in 1987 at the Christchurch Shibu dojo, later joining the Auckland club. He achieved his Shodan in two years and was elevated to Rokudan in 2018. Jun Shihan Patrick leads the senior grade classes, consistently upholding the high standards set by his own mentors.
Alongside him, the Auckland Seido Karate Club boasts a team of experienced black belt instructors, all volunteers dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment. They bring a wealth of knowledge, ensuring each student receives quality training and personal growth opportunities.
What sets the club apart is its commitment to the values of respect, non-violence, fairness, and good sportsmanship. Every class is a chance to not only improve physical fitness and learn self-defence but also to embrace these core principles.
