Biography
Tristan Jankovics is a rising star in competitive swimming, excelling both nationally and internationally. Born in Guelph, Ontario, on May 10, 2004, Tristan's journey to the Olympics began with his impressive performance at the Olympic Swimming Trials. He secured his spot at the Paris 2024 Games by winning the men’s 400m individual medley, breaking personal records and making history as the first Canadian to qualify for the event since London 2012.
Tristan's success extends beyond the Olympic stage, as he has represented Canada at the international level with outstanding results. His achievements at the 2022 Junior Pan Pacific Championships and the 2023 Canadian Championships reflect his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
Currently competing for The Ohio State University, Tristan continues to make waves in collegiate swimming. Alongside his athletic pursuits, he is studying Electrical Engineering, showcasing his commitment to both sport and academics.
A first-generation Canadian with Hungarian heritage, Tristan brings a unique perspective to his swimming career. His passion for collecting fridge magnets from his travels adds a personal touch to his global experiences.
