Genevieve Gregson, also known as Gen, is a remarkable Aussie distance runner who has waved the flag high in the steeplechase and marathon events. Originating from Benowa, Queensland, and maturing on the Gold Coast, Gen's passion for running ignited in her school years. Her academic journey took her across the Pacific to the University of Florida, where she amplified her skills and achieved a silver medal in her final NCAA finals year. Gen shattered records and made impressive marks on the global stage by breaking the national steeplechase record and placing highest in world championships for an Australian.
Her Olympic journey began in London 2012, where she chipped away at her potential. However, it was in Rio 2016 that she truly announced her presence, running multiple personal bests and challenging the world's best runners.
